I am looking to expand my horizons beyond Florida and experience some different cultures. I graduated with an occupational therapy assistant degree and thinking of taking a traveling job.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couched surfed in Berwyn Heights, MD during an internship. It was fantastic!!! I hope to expand my couchsurfing experience over the summer.

Interests

Anything creative, Music of all kinds, sign-language, law and policy making, dancing, science and research, love going to live plays, concerts, and productions, traveling, camping, kinda a geek cause I love learning, the ocean and natural springs. Grew up on the water and all over Florida so I love the outdoors.

Music, Movies, and Books

I could write a book about all the movies, books and music I like. I love a good romance movie or a great documentary. As far as music: anything but English opera. Books: I am so far deep into my education I can't honestly remember the last time I had to pick up a good book that is not school related. However I love the field I am going into therefore I love reading my school books!!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

From November 2012-May 2013 I have been in 13 cities and 7 states!! I chose to travel for internships and it paid off with once in a life time memories.
I have traveled all up and down the East coast of the United States with my Mom who is a lobbyist. My last summer adventure was marching to the capital in D.C. for disability rights and being part of the protest to get equal access for people with disabilities. I also have been on the floor of the Florida House of Representatives with Rep. Sally Hyman. I have seen the Marine Band live. Camped on the beach in Key West. Survived flying through a hurricane.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have developed a curriculum to teach people with disabilities to cook nutritionally on a cost effective budget. My curriculum i designed to assist any disability and even people with multiple disabilities. It includes adaptations for equipment, environment or skills. I would love to share this with anyone who is interested.

What I would like to learn: Anything that someone with a disability has done in their own life to improve or adapt their kitchen and cooking.
