About Me

ABOUT ME

Hi,

I work as a lecturer in a teacher trainer department in Belgium. I'm 31 years old and just found out about couch surfing.
I think it's a nice way to really get to know a country and not hike in it as a tourist. It's nice to get information and contact with local people who can tell what to do, see, and so on. I don't like to travel as a tourist, more like a local. So it would be nice to meet people in this way.

I think i can describe myself as a happy person who loves laughing and being silly. I also like good conversations. I like to live in a balance of seriousness and craziness

Offcourse I like travelling too;)

Best regards,
HIdIr

PHILOSOPHY

Live in the present like there has been no past; be free from unconscious or negative motivations that come from the past.

Desire is the memory of pleasure that we want to repeat; fear is the memory of pain that we want to avoid.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

In the near future I will make a room where i can put a matrass so that people can couchesurf in the weekend. (During the week it will be not possible, unless in holidays)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had my first couchesurfing experience in october 2012.

Interests

I get lots of inspiration out of buddhism. Life is for me a non ending way of growing in personal development, living in the present, awareness and so on and so forth.

I believe in the fact that nobody wants to be told how he or she should live unless the person asks for help or insight in a specific theme.

Music, Movies, and Books

I read all kinds of books... I always find something new and inspiring. That's my motto: grow and learn till you die :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I try not to be attached to memories. Since nice memories can become yearnings and yearnings can become a source of stress/pain. And i forget very easily :p hehehe :)

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Netherlands Antilles, Senegal, Spain, Turkey, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In
