About Me

Hi, I’m Rebecca, Becks, Becci, Rebse, Bec, Becca or whatever people came up with in the past.

I’m a 26 years old industrial engineering student in Karlsruhe (Germany), close to the black forest and Stuttgart. I spend my semester breaks travelling the world to see as much as I can before entering the job world. My last adventure before Corona brought me to the People’s Republic of China.
During Corona (winter term 20/21) I spent a semester abroad in the beautiful spanish city of Cádiz in Andalucía and travelled the south of Spain and the Canary Islands.

When not traveling or studying for exams I like to meet friends, cook up some nice stuff, play volleyball or relax at the several lakes around Karlsruhe. I’m an easy-going person who always has a smile on her face and loves to talk.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

All my couchsurfing experiences in the last years were amazing!

My Couchsurfing experience:
I had 2 different hosts in HK and spent my days with 3 different girls having Hot Pot, a HK BBQ, having indian lunch, strolling around the markets and visiting the most important sights. Great time!

In BKK I was once hosted by a really nice girl and her family who made me feel like being at home immediately. Actually her professor texted me on CS and suggested her as a host. I never regretted staying with her! We went to see many non-touristy places, having a massage by a blind man (jelly-bones afterwards), shopping on the markets and her mum made the best breakfasts.
Next: my host in Kuala Lumpur, who had an own appartement in a condo, only for Couchsurfers. He was showing me and the other couchsurfers around, having original chinese/malaysian dinners together, etc.

In 2014 I went on a weekend trip to Dublin and stayed with 3 lovely brazilian exchange students. They were incredible hospitable and taught me to have a really good irish pub party!

Since 2014 I haven't been Couchsurfing really. I'd love to get started again.
