Hi there! I am Stefanie, 28 years old and linving in a shared apartment together with a good friend of mine. I would describe myself as easy-going, open-minded and quite calm. At the moment, I am about to finish my masters program to become an elementary school teacher of Mathematics, English and Music. While studying, I always try to discover places in the world that I haven't been to, yet.
On my way I always try to gain an authentic insight into the country, its nature and its people. That's why I like the idea of couchsurfing quite much. For me traveling is not about seeing as much places as I can, it's more about experiencing these places. That's the reason why I also like living in other places than Germany every now and then: After high school I spent a year as an Au Pair in a family in the US and during my internship at a school I spent 5 months with a family in Singapore.

I like the idea of getting in touch with people who are on their way to discover the world as much as getting in touch with locals in places that I visit. Seeing a place from another person's perspective sounds much more interesting to me than just having this touristic perspective. In addition to that, I like to get to know other people - they always give me a chance to discover myself a bit more.
