About Me

CURRENT MISSION

conquering the useless

ABOUT ME
in nothing is my everything. for now.

PHILOSOPHY

Any philosophy turns into dogma, any dogma ends in a repugnant conclusion. Just take the time to think when its called for.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Mostly events for the time being, surfed a few times, hosted a few times, and sometimes I even reply to conversations on the Parisian mur.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Overall positive, though I believe couchsurfing is becoming not so great. Confused for a dating site, or free-accommodation service, I find myself having to scroll down for miles before encountering someone who isn't lovely, open minded, loves to have fun and discover new cultures and people.

Interests

Philosophy is one of my main interests, especially the areas of personal identity and philosophy of psychology. Literature and poetry also; reading it, writing it, talking about it, living it.
I used to like discussing politics too, but I tend to get too excited and so I prefer to avoid it. Music and good people fill up the rest of my time.
I dance whenever I can, regardless of how inappropriate it may be (or indeed, regardless of whether I'm any good at it)

Music, Movies, and Books

Books : McCullers, Thoreau, Borges, Adam Phillips, Cavell, ee cummings, Dostoyevski, Leonard Cohen (beautiful losers being one of the best things i have ever read), Clarice Lispector and you know what, throw it Tim Robbins for a good laugh too.
Films: Buffalo '66, Moonrise Kingdom, Les Enfants du Paradis
Music: minimal, indie, classical, jazz , and honestly, i can't say im really that discriminate. when it's good, i don't care for the title.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Nothing amazing as such, but I do enjoy extreme experiments with living, which includes periods of complete silence (and the opposite- a 27 hour conversation was the follow up to this one), complete solitude, long distances with a bike, building different personas to measure difference in reaction.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: not sure I have any skill unfortunately, except perhaps how to make a pretty nice banana bread.
Learn : whenever I can
Share: your mum
