About Me

CURRENT MISSION:
Travel the world, enjoying other cultures, and eat well.

ABOUT US:
I am a sustainable farmer interested in changing the food culture in our neighborhood. I enjoy reading, am easygoing, and a wonderful husband! My wife, Kellie, is a nurse interested in helping people make their lives healthier through smart daily choices. She is a good cook (note: in order to taste her cooking you will need to be our guest, her rule is to not cook while on vacation), the organized one, and if it weren't for her, this would have never been written.

PHILOSOPHY:
What you eat matters.
Treat others as you wish to be treated.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We are on couchsurfing as a way to meet new people and travel the world while really immersing ourselves into other cultures. The best way to get to know a new country is to stay with locals and understand day to day life through their eyes.

Interests

We love meeting people from all over the world!
Spending time together and with friends
Gardening and outdoor activities

Music, Movies, and Books

I am interested in all subjects, topics, and will read most anything on a recommendation. I have tons of recommendations for books as well. Kellie is more into music than me, but we are both more book people than movie people. However, we do enjoy watching the occasional movie to relax and have a night in.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Don't know if this qualifies for this section or not, but I once ate pork brains in Romania. It was good but greasy. It tasted a lot like sausage.
I also went whale watching in Alaska. They were so close you could almost touch them - it was amazing. When I asked Kellie, she said she didn't know that she had done anything amazing..... then asked if hiking across England along Hadrian's Wall or going on a two month long honeymoon would count. I don't know, what do you think?

Teach, Learn, Share

No one should ever stop learning. We are open to talking about anything, sharing experiences and listening to different opinions. We can always learn from others and we are interested in hearing what you have to say.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Both my wife and I have professions that are focused on health. I make food that people eat and she educates people on how to prevent illness and helps when they do get sick. So, we would love to share with you our passions of food, food culture, and how we can be healthier.
