One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to USA to work for three months and worked at a youth camp. we went for a day trip to NY, took 6 hours to drive by bus and th plan was to meet at 8 again to head back to pennsylvania, but no… I get lost, or not really, I got the wrong address and end up alone in NY at 18, walking from one police station to another because they couldn't help unless there was a missing person report or something stupid, so I'm cold as it gets late and buy myself some pants and a t-shirt, then the camp reports a missing person to the ny police and of course I'm not wearing the same clothes… and finally at like 12 o'clock I'm in port authority so clueless because no one could help me, I ask this woman if I could call from her phone.. I just wanted to call to Iceland, then she thought I was going to put a virus in her phone or something, in the end she was very nice after I told her what happened and she offered me to come with her to her job, she was working a night shift in a law firm, and I got some sleep in one of the conference rooms and then in the morning I got on the bus back…
