Overview
About Me
Originally from Madrid (Spain), I was working for 7 years as an IT consultant, got tired of my job and one day I decided I wanted to do something more meaningful. That's how I ended up in the UK doing a PhD on cancer.
At the moment I am trying to find a work/life balance with my actual job and try to get out of my confort zone as much as I can: whether travelling, trying new things such as going abroad or meeting new people. I feel blessed for having studied at an International School and been sorrounded by people from the four corners of the world since I was young.
I try to do all the above while simultaneously visit family and friends back home: not an easy task! :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like to meet people with different stories from all over the world, I think (might be wrong) that Couchsurfing probably has a high proportion of similar-minded people which I am always keen to meet.
At the same time, I am a firm believer in giving value, whether from experiences, showing people around, hosting or whatever I can help with.

Music, Movies, and Books
I can listen to all kinds of music but like in no particular order: ballads, The Beatles, Oasis, pop comes to mind...
With regards to movies I like thrillers with crazy endings such as The Game, Se7en or The Sixth Sense, but can really watch any movies.
Books: I can read anything from psychology such as "Emotional Intelligence" or "Mistakes were made but not by me" to plays such as "The Importance of Being Earnest" by Oscar Wilde, to less known books.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Walking and thinking what it must have been there in the Second World War:
-Auschwitz concentration camp
-Berlin
Quitting my profitable and secure IT security job for a pursue of helping other through research.
