About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Use the bigger part of my brain

ABOUT ME

I'm from Sofia, Bulgaria. I published some short stories, a book or two and recently I made my first film, a documentary about existential dread in the post-utopian society that is Bulgaria. Generally, I'm most concerned with finding my place in the world and it looks like it's getting harder by the day.

PHILOSOPHY

That's a really hard question.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My mom hosts people all the time. At least since 2011, and a lot of people have come through our house. I've always thought that this thing is an amazing thing, Couchsurfing, that people do to rise above the walls that society tries to put up. Why shouldn't you sleep at a stranger's house? If you have something in common. If you're visiting the country, and he'll give you the specific insight that there's no other way to get. It's a better way of traveling.
Plus you have the added benefit of bringing people from all over the world together. I like to be part of a change I want to see come to fruition.
I'd love to host more people, it's just that I don't have the space, so I try to pay it around in other ways these past few years.

Interests

I am most interested in thinking about things. Really. Whether it is economics, etymology, philosophy, culture, politics. Generally, what I can't get out of my mind the past few years is "How the hell does this world work" and this obsession derives from the question "Why are we here and what are we doing". Another one I can't seem to get out of my head is "Is all the suffering necessary". I'm sorry, I can't help it. I need to know.

Music, Movies, and Books

Damn it with the hard questions. Here I should write what seems to be a five page list of names?
Jazz, J.D. Salinger and The Wall, OK.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Jumping from a cliff into the ocean is one the most lively things I've ever done. Backpacking on the Black Sea coast is the longest I've lived in the outdoors. Two months.

Teach, Learn, Share

Let's say philosophy.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I got a fine camera and I'd love to take a nice photo of them coupled with a short story about our time.

Countries I’ve Visited

Bosnia and Herzegovina, Canada, France, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Romania, Serbia, Turkey, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In
