Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My family and I try to host and help people as much as possible while still being able to perform our own tasks. If someone has a problem/question/whatever I try to help because it's always a lot easier as a local than as a tourist (even though we Dutchies speak English just fine (i.m.o.)).

With surfing I try to really get to know people and I love to learn about what they want to do in life. Couchsurfing is a great way to meet people and I have some super-cool memories from both surfers and hosts I met =D

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Meeting people from all over the world and showing them your city or letting them show you their city is something really special. It's awesome this exists and I hope to be able to host and surf with many more Couchsurfers. So far, I'm having a blast!

Interests

Chilling, traveling, dancing, people, drugs, sports, food, culture & adventure (and most other things that are not boring)!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all genres of music, books and films. Please do recommend me stuff you enjoy and feel like I should be enjoying as well. Everything that brings people together is fantastic!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There is simply too much to write to down here. I'm not sure I can limit it down to one thing, so here goes:
-I loved diving even though I haven't finished the PADI course;
-Riding a camel through a sandstorm;
-Going on a 60-hour bus ride (twice) was also a delightful experience;
-Bungee jumping totally makes the list;
-Entering a cryochamber at -120°C was certainly a special experience;
-I also did a Skype yoga session together with one of my hosts and his girlfriend;
-A guy who picked me up while hitchhiking let me drive his car once;
-Last but not least I once saw someone try to take a Golden Eagle on an airplane. The eagle's wings were tied to his body and he had been put in a banana box.

Teach, Learn, Share

Ask and you shall receive =] I enjoy sharing new things with people and if I find a way to improve your life or help you out somewhere I will totally tell you! Also, teach me new things!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Let's cook some food (preferably desserts), or dance, or have fun, or I can teach you why and HOW not to play the room escape game. Take some time, sit down for a cuppa tea w/ me and I'm sure we'll eventually find something that we can share & learn from. If not, we just enjoy our tea & talk ^^
