About Me

Learn something new every day

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Planning to go backpacking around Colombia, Peru and Bolivia, and looking for potential hosts who would help me discover their countries and culture.

Hoping to offer my own sofa at some point in the future.

Interests

Music (everybody writes this but in my case its serious!). I don't have any preferred music styles, but rather divide music into that I like and that I don't:) Among my favourite artists are: Portishead, The Doors, Crystal Fighters, Parov Stelar, Bonobo, Mac Miller, Damon Albarn, Esbjorn Svensson Trio, Arctic Monkeys, Gogol Bordello, The Clash, Rancid, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Jaga Jazzist, RHCP, Arcade Fire, Bonaparte, Air, The Cinematic Orchestra, Bob Dylan, Tame Impala, Extremoduro

Shopping for food, cooking and eating - yes, I like the whole process! Favourite dishes include ceviche and pulpo a la gallega, but I generally like everything with fish, vegetables and olive oil in it:) Food is one of the best thing about travelling and life in general.

Specialty coffee

Languages - I'm particularly keen on romance languages.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Probably the time I spent in Barcelona. At 22 I moved there without knowing anyone in the city or speaking either Spanish or Catalan. During the six years that I lived there I graduated from a local university and had a great teaching job, but more importantly I had some amazing experiences and made fantastic friends, both of which I cherish up to today.

Teach, Learn, Share

Being an English and Czech teacher, I can obviously try to teach you a bit of the languages. I'm also happy to share as much as I can about my beautiful country, the Czech Republic:)

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Colombia, Croatia, Ecuador, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Montenegro, Norway, Poland, Spain, United Kingdom, Vatican City State

Countries I’ve Lived In
