About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To save the day!

ABOUT ME

I think if you asked my friends about me, they'd say "Pete 'The Treat' Howson!? I remember him for his eating abilities that he developed during his college days, where he would walk the corridors to chants of "Pete can Eat! Pete can Eat!"€ He became the 2005 champion of Shakespeare€s Pies Pie-Eating Contest in Whistler, BC (1 of the top 10 Major League events hosted by the International Federation of Competitive Eating). Unfortunately his career in eating came to an end when in 2007 he was beaten by Joey "The Jaws"€ Chestnut at Nathanas Famous Hotdog Contest (for some regarded as the€ US Nationals). Following this embarrassing defeat, he shrunk from a healthy 252 lbs. to a tiny 190. Having disgraced his family he moved with his twin brother, Stephen from his home town of Brixton to the forests of Sulawesi, Indonesia, where he spent 2.5 years tagging tiny Tarsius monkeys. He was there discovered by Wellington University academics and was asked to undertake a PhD in New Zealand. And we haven't seen him since!" That's what they'd say.

PHILOSOPHY

I could quite easily give up chocolate over cheese. I don't think anyone would ever force me to do that though, but if they did then its no contest really.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I tried asking people on Twitter if I could stay at their house. People on Twitter are just rude!

Interests

I like fish fingers. A usually eat 5 a day, but sometimes I have 10 and the most I've eaten in 1 day is 32, which I did in a single sitting. I normally have them with salad cream. I'm not sure you can get salad cream outside of the UK, but ketchup or mayonnaise is okay too. I'm a vegetarian now, but I can still eat fish fingers I think.

Music, Movies, and Books

I just watched an episode of Downton Abbey. It was okay. The first series was better.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I appeared on the 3rd UK season of Total Wipeout. I didn't win, but it was okay I guess.
I am able to drink water using only my nose. And,
I can eat a medium sized domino's pizza without chewing!

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a book about sharks. I could read from it and you could learn or you could just borrow the book? It depends on your preferred learning style.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Not a lot right now. Next year I'll be able to offer you everything you could ever dream of!
