ABOUT ME

I'm a culinary intern working on my dreams of becoming a someday chef. I love meeting new people and experiencing new things. I live for cooking and feeding people. I am constantly in the kitchen playing with new recipes or ingredients to make for friends. My day to day motto is, "fuck it, why not?" which is my basic way of not excluding any experience from my life, which sometimes can get me into trouble; but mostly enables me to experience the most wonderful things with the most wonderful people.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love to go out and adventure with people, learn about the local cuisine and hold dinners, or go to organized events to meet other couchsurfers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I joined after my friend told me about her experiences with CS. She traveled around Europe and met a lot of really cool people and with me getting ready to move to Portland, I wanted embark on the same adventures and opportunities! Since then I've met so many wonderful Couchsurfers in the pacific northwest area and people from all over.

Interests

I am studying culinary arts and I live for cooking food. The majority of my time is spent in kitchens cooking for family and friends along with teaching people how to cook new things in new ways. I love going on adventures; whether that is strolls through the park or forest, getting in the car and just going, or wandering around on foot to places I don't know. I'm always up for experiencing new things in new ways. I play a couple instruments and love jamming with people and dancing, just feel the music and start moving your body! I am currently learning fire staff and pyro-dancing, my friends in Lawrence got me into it and I'm loving it more every time I try.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I left all my possessions except my car and a suitcase full of clothes, emptied my savings and left. I traveled around the midwest (Colorado, Nebraska, Missouri, Kansas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Iowa, and Illinois) I camped in the rockies, the caves in Arkansas & Missouri, fields in Iowa and Illinois, by lake sides and everywhere else. This was my journey of self discovery that I embarked by myself and I learned so much about Mother Nature, the Earth, people and myself.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love learning new things; I soak up information and experience like a sponge. I am full of useful & useless information and facts, know-hows and how-to's, but I always am hungry for more! I love to cook, so let me cook for you! I can cook pretty much anything you'd like. I also can accommodate to any food or dietary restrictions. I love giving cooking lessons and how-to's in the kitchen!
