ABOUT ME

Lets see. I grew up in the San Joaquin foothills in California on a cattle ranch. In the summers, my family operated a outfitter guide service in the Sierras. We would take people and their supplies on horses and mules as deep into the backcountry as they dared. Ive been to just about every camp on the Kern River, from the headwaters down to Lake Isabella. In college I studied Anthropology and Environmental Economics. In my fourth year I discovered programming, and stayed an extra year to study Computer Science.

My 2 roommates and I host as often as we can. We love SF and think its one of the best cities in the world. We want you to think that too :)

BOOKS!! I love them. I hoard them!

I like reading books about programming languages and software design. Books about math are always fun too. Knotted Doughnuts and Other Mathematical Entertainments by Martin Gardner is a gem. The Symbolic Species by Terrence Deacon is amazing. If you are interested in language in any capacity, its a must read.

I usually reserve fiction for when I am on vacation or traveling. Sci-fi is pretty close to my heart. I Read Snowcrash recently, and it blew my mind.

I saw a meteor this year that was 1000 times bigger than any other I'd ever seen. At first I thought it was a plane that had exploded. It was amazing, and a bit terrifying. I'll never forget it.
