HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Just started

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Had my first hosting experience on 17th November 2012, and loved it. I hosted 2 American CSfers in my one-bedroomed cottage, and before they arrived I was very apprehensive, as they were my son's age and I wasn't sure how I would relate to them. i needn't have worried, we got on famously, and had a great time.

Interests

I have a passion for reading and research, I love visiting quaint old places (especially in Italy) and I have travelled quite extensively, including walking a part of the camino, and spending a year travelling around Europe in a combi, avoiding main roads and big cities.

Music, Movies, and Books

Out of Africa, Blood Diamond, Meet Joe Black, to name a few. Biographies, history and armchair travel books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Walking over the Pyrenees from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port in France to Roncesvalles in Spain, and finding myself in the middle of a bunch of cows that were sitting down and were nearly as tall as me.

Teach, Learn, Share

I do my best to see all sides of a story. Although I believe it is important to be passionate about life, its also good to step back and observe, to listen, to be objective and look beyond emotion to find the truth.

Countries I’ve Visited

Andorra, Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Denmark, Egypt, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Luxembourg, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Netherlands, Norway, Seychelles, South Africa, Spain, Swaziland, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom, Vatican City State, Zimbabwe

Countries I’ve Lived In
