HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been doing an 'informal' coach surfing for the past 20 years. Have my own network of people that host me or I host them (in both countries I am living now in: Japan and Poland).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In Albania, Australia, Bangladesh, China, Ethiopia, Hong Kong, Japan,Germany, Switzerland, Thailand - most of the time stayed at places of people/friends I know, but once on the late evening flight Beijing-Bangkok, when I had no place to stay arranged, a Thai stewardess who heard that, immediately offered me to stay at her house.

In the morning I was woken up by the nearby temple's drums and I still hear that sound although it was twenty years ago. Similar thing happened on the Trans-Siberian train. When a very friendly Russian guy traveling in the same compartment realized that I and my Japanese friend had no place to stay in Moscow, he took us to his apartment and his mother cooked us a wonderful meal matching vodka ;)

Interessi

Writing and reading. Meeting 'the other person' - therefore love traveling alone and away from bitten tracks, camping, nature, wildlife, Buddhism, veganism, spiritual healing, animal rights, Asia, Africa, literature, dance, driving in Japan, etc.
