About Me

CURRENT MISSION

It's not about where you go it's how you feel for a moment in your life.

ABOUT ME

I'm a chilled guy. I love sitting, reading, listening to people and hearing new stories. It's probably the best part of my job.

PHILOSOPHY

Seeing the world from a different perspective. It's great to learn.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Haven't done much couch surfing, just once before. My favourite part of travel is being spontaneous and travelling with no agenda. It's hard to do when you're working full time.

I will cook you dinner! Possibly the best pork shoulder you will ever eat.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had a great time in madrid last year- an offbeat experience. I want to do some more.

Interests

Beer brewing, coffee, squash, music. friends and just having a laugh.

I do enjoy an odd sing song.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favourite musician is Tom Waits. I love being Irish particularly for the music, language and folklore. Someone described Irish music as 'the wind and the rain'. It invites you into a warm room from the horizontal rain.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've seen so much-I'm so lucky. Every time I travel I keep journals full of what people have said and things I've seen-a stock of all my experiences. Once you write something down, you see it in a different way and you remember it forever.

I hate writing lists of places I've been to because travel isn't about ticking a box, it's about how you feel.

Broadly, I've been around Europe, travelled a bit in canada, lived in New Zealand and have spent about a year in South East Asia.

Of all the things I've ever done-the Gibbon experience in Laos was the most memorable. You zipline through a jungle. I'm terrified of heights.

Teach, Learn, Share

Anyone who has a story to tell. In life, you are the books you read and the people you meet- the sum of your experiences! I love meeting people and just chatting about stuff, you learn more from that than from a lecture.
