About Me

I'm a humble joke teller, looking to meet other individuals who also enjoy laughing and who want the most out of life.

I am friends with people of all nationalities, backgrounds, religons, and sexual orientations. I believe in the goodness of the world, and think happiness is derived by helping others. It doesn't take much to be kind, and a little goes a long way.

I live a relatively healthy lifestyle. I practice yoga, go to the gym, and try to eat a plant-based diet. I'm clean, considerate, compassionate and open-minded.
I love going out and experiencing new things. I also enjoy the occasional Netflix and chill nights.
Life is all about balance.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

If you dove into uncharted waters, you'd want an experienced swimmer to show you the best way to shore. I feel the same about "diving" into new cities. Spending time with locals has been far more informative than TripAdvisor or Yelp have ever been.

I signed on to Couchsurfing years ago as a free means to get across the country. After my first over-night in Santa Fe, NM, I quickly realized it was much more than that. Couchsurfing is a community-- it's getting to know and respect your neighbors, and the neighborhood.

I used Couchsurfing while traveling across the United States 4 times, as a way to meet people while traveling alone. I also used it in Thailand. I still talk to most of the people I've met along the ways. Having had so many positive experiences I don't think I want to travel any other way.

Music, Movies, and Books

hip-hop and r&b, rock, jazz, soul, funk, folk, reggae. All things Glass Animals.
My mood effects my music choices.

The Alchemist, Celestine Prophecy, Flowers for Algernon, and The Giving Tree were all influential books in my life.

I am happily accepting any and all music/movie/book suggestions

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I moved to Thailand with no experience or knowledge of the culture. I taught English in a town where I was the only foreigner. I learned the Thai language and became self-sufficient enough to live and travel alone for one-year. This was by far the greatest accomplishment of my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm just trying to learn as much as I can about everything. Knowledge is power.

I can teach you how to make one hell of a vegan mac and cheese.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I will happily share laughs, outdoor adventures, movie and music suggestions, a few beers and some crazy stories.
