About Me

CURRENT MISSION

starting a new chapter in Cairns

ABOUT ME

I would describe myself as a social, tolerant, open and relaxed. I am more quiet and thoughtful than impulsive and talkative, especially at first glance, but that changes, when I feel comfortable.
My humor is a kind of sarcasm combined with stupid ideas and I have to stop me very often to not make any senseless and stupid commentaries, which I regard as humor. I think that makes me sometimes seem insenstive and offending. Sorry for that.
I love the nature in most of its aspects and especially the tropical rainforest, with all its diversity.
I enjoy good conversations about science, culture, philosophy, movies, music, geeky things, and anything that drives another person or that makes me see the world in another way; also pure nonsense.

PHILOSOPHY

somehow rooted in the beauty and toughness of nature and science with all its implications.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most amazing and rare thing happened to me, was a meeting with an andean bear in the montane rain forest of Ecuador. He was just about three meters away from me!

And I have to add an encounter with a wild Oran-Utan in the rainforest of Borneo. That was truly amazing... well, until he came after me and it got a bit frightening. So, I had to back off.

Teach, Learn, Share

I might be able to teach you a bit apreciation about how amazing plants can be,
I can show you how to bake a good bread with sourdough, I might be able to teach you some climbing techniques, and probably some other things, too.
And I really like to learn from others. As everyone has his own perception and ways to do things, I will probably learn something from you without you teaching me actively. And I apreciate any teaching, if I am at least mildly interested. ;)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Probably a lot, I like sharing. :)
