About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Take this bucket we call Earth and soak it up like a sponge

ABOUT ME

I'm intense but goofy. I love new experiences and any chance to share them with my own to make something more

PHILOSOPHY

I live to give more than I take. Consumption leaves us with nothing in the end.

Also "The more we get together, together, together, the we get together the happier we'll be"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've had the pleasure of surfing a few times, and those positive experiences help me evangelize the philosophy.

I host, being quite flexible and having more room in my house than I know what to do with.

Speaking of home, I'm finding myself there enough to actually organize events and meetups as well.

Spread the word, build the community.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Mostly with friends in various parts of the US and Canada. But I've now surfed abroad and have nothing but a great time. And hosting, thats just the icing on the cake its like traveling without leaving home.

Interests

So you might say my interests are diverse, really I just love experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies:Before Sunrise, Before Sunset, Amelie, Moulin Rouge, Memento, Blade Runner, South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut, Fight Club, Dogville, The Notebook, Life is Beautiful, Go, Shaun of the Dead, Mulholland Drive, The Spitfire Grill, Waking Life, Goodbye Lenin, Into the Wild, An Inconvenient Truth, Nobody Knows, Gattica, Once, One Week. (Movies oftentimes become my inspiration to travel) I'm a huge fan of the Banff Mountain Film Festival, if you get a chance to check the world tour, do so!

Music:I like it live and I like it small, intimate and emotional in an almost tangible way

Books:Mists of Avalon, The Fountainhead, The Little Prince
For someone who works in a library, I wish I had time to read more. But there only seems enough time to immerse myself when I travel

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Skydiving will likely be my all time high for some time to come.In my cycle tours I'm pleased with the fact that I measure my trips now in megameters and not in kilometers.

I recently found myself by chance in NYC at the beginning of the Occupy Wall Street movement, since that experience my view of the world has sharpened

And corny I know, but I joined CouchSurfing.org. Its quickly becoming one of my greatest life decisions.

Teach, Learn, Share

I dabble in a lot of things, love to listen and learn and openly share everything I know.

Of course being a computer geek, I could probably fix your computer too.

Alternative gardening techniques (hydroponic, aeroponic, container)

Home renovations/improvements. Like to get my hands dirty

Self-sustained cycle-touring. I think we could all benefit from this form of travel.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Canada, Colombia, Dominican Republic, France, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Jamaica, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, Peru, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Canada
