About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Live, Love, Learn

ABOUT ME

I am a dreamer who doesn't stop at just dreaming. My goal in life is to keep doing things that make the world a better place, even if it is just putting a smile on a child's face. I love being around people who view life positively, because I feed off their energy to get energized in my own life and endeavors. I love meeting people, and am always up for a good conversation, even if it means that I will get only a couple hours of sleep that night. I am laid back, but I also like to keep busy and engaged.

PHILOSOPHY

"Whether you think you can or you think you can't, you're right." - Henry Ford

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have had the privilege to surf with some amazing individuals, and meet incredible people that I am happy to consider my friends. I am hoping to give back by hosting people, and continue to meet and surf in this incredible community.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had the best time couchsurfing in New Zealand. From meeting a Maori chief who regaled us with unbelievable stories from his life, to taking a road trip down the length of the two main islands and back up with two people I only barely met - it was an adventure throughout.

Interests

Anything that makes lives "better", in a deep sense of the word - beyond mindless consumerism and endless consumption.

Music, Movies, and Books

There are many. But come learn them when you meet me, and maybe we can watch/listen/read together.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The stars, the ocean, the mountains, the forests. Whenever I see them, I am inspired and humbled. I only want to ensure that future generations can continue to enjoy the bounties that we have been blessed with.

Teach, Learn, Share

One thing I have learned over my short life: Put everything in a larger context. Sure, your boss was mean to you and you are having a horrible day. But take a moment to breathe, step back and think about it from a larger perspective. You have an education. You hopefully have a family. Know that you're probably in the first quartile of people rated in terms of how lucky they are. Feel better about yourself. Approach your problems with optimism and don't give up.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Happiness, so we may double it together. Grief, so it halves.

Countries I’ve Visited

Cook Islands, Fiji, India, Malaysia, New Zealand, Peru, Thailand, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Bangladesh, India, New Zealand, United States
