Back in NL after a long stay in Canada (Alberta), then Poland (Warsaw+Cracow). I'm looking to meeting new and interesting people here

ABOUT ME

Born in Frisia (North of the Netherlands, we have our own language flag, culture and I can tell a lot about this).

Frisian is my native language, together with Dutch.

I've lived and studied in Leeuwarden, Utrecht, the Netherlands, and in Lethbridge (AB) Canada. After this I've lived+worked in Poland, and now I'm back in Frisia.

I work as translator-trainer. I also speak some Polish, amazing language :)

I love traveling. (foreign) languages+cultures. I simply think they add a lot of value to our lifes.

I traveled to some fascinating places in Canada, and Europe and I still want to see much more.

PHILOSOPHY

When I travel, I feel like an explorer. I want to explore new environments, cultures, cuisines. Learn about people and places, societies, languages, cultures.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I met a few people in Europe through CS and I still have contact with some of them.

Stayed over in Wroclaw and Warsaw (Poland) and I had a swell time. I've also met CS'ers in Lviv, Kiev and Sofia . Very kind+interesting people!

Overall positive experiences.

Interests

Sports, travelling, language, my dog (I have an Australian kelpie), music, cooking, nature, going out, reading, movies. Too much :))

A lot. I especially like Russian + French literature, next to Frisian lit (yes, such a thing really exists!).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I found the Rocky Mountains in Canada very impressive. Powerful nature!! Makes you feel very small and humble!
