About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Bring as much light into the world as possible, living a life that is full of love and always doing things that serve others:)

ABOUT ME

My name is Alysa. I currently live in Vancouver, Canada, however I have spent a lot of my life traveling, working and living in different countries around the world.

After living in California for most of the last decade and having spending 18 out of the past 24 months traveling around the world, doing incredible things, attending amazing personal growth/business conferences and Burning Man I decided to return to BC.

I am a crazy down to earth girl, and also have a business casual, diplomatic and progressive side too. I am genuine, caring and warm, I am outgoing and really extroverted. I love to meet people, share stories and cook and share food with others. I love the outdoors, and being active and staying in shape. I am excited to explore the many destination I will travel, by immersing myself in the culture. I enjoy the mountains, hiking, running, cycling, swimming when ever I have a change while traveling.

I am a doer, not just a talker, and am continually working on do progressive work and serving others as much as I can. I am a pretty awesome person to become friends with. I am one of those people that I would want in my inner circle of friends.

I look forward to meet many new friends along the way and expand my global network.

PHILOSOPHY

Make you live as colourful as possible. Do as many new things as you can.
Do not take things for granted. And be happy that you can do the things that you can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have surfed in many corners of the world and I love to share my home with people when ever they are coming through the town where my parents live. Although I rarely am in this town, my family is very willing to take people in:) I love to learn and share with people as our paths cross:) I have yet to host in Vancovuer, but I will shortly!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Notable couch surfing experiences have been staying with this german lady in the Bahamas, she had a B&B but she hosted me free of charge and it was lovely!

Stayed with two friends in Tivon Junction, Israel at the edge of a national park and it was a magnificent experience.

Surfing in Petra Jordan

Meeting up and becoming friends with the New Dehli Couch surfing crew in India

Music, Movies, and Books

Dappling in a little of everything- from new age/folk/lil' country mixture here and there, some rock...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The Pyramids of Gaza have to be one of the most spictacular sights that I have ever seen, however, I almost didn't make it into the middle one because I thought I might get claustrophobic and had to have a Bedouin man take me through entering it and in the same trip belly dacing on the ferry across the nile river and all of the other people on the ferry clapping along with the beat of the taba drum.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am super energetic, like a ball of sunshine. Actually that is a nickname that I recently aquired. I have an amazing life story, I am super insperational. I love to cook and learn about new places.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have really amazing energy. I am a fantastic conversationalist. I am a really great house guest, am super clean and very respectful. I love to share laughter and am very giving and contributive. I love to cook food together with my hosts, go out dancing and have a fantastic shared experience together.
