Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I allow random strangers to crash at my place for a night or two to help them save on expenses on hotels while visiting far away cities.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first experience with a couch surfer was with an experienced one who completely wasted my time and gas (see review I left for http://www.couchsurfing.org/people/tristero/ ). Second person/experience was amazing, we are still friends. Third person/experience was very low on their funds, complained about (everything) even the free pizza I ordered/paid for us, including finally directly soliciting by asking me for cash: that third experience was kind of meh. I still have faith in the human race, though!

Within my own network of people I know outside of couchsurfing, I call people up in far away cities I want to visit just so I can crash at their place for the night. I like to do this to save myself time on traveling there the next day

Interests

computers / internet surfing, japanese anime, happy hour sake now and then (not much for hard alcohol). I am into Arabic music, microbiology and cool people who love hugs! I also sometimes love to cook for people.

I am the volunteer director of outreach for a international not for profit organization.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A matress/blanket/pillow to sleep on, the bathroom and shower. 2 nights at the maximum. I am offended if you try to debate this with me so please do not and thank you :)
