About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Make at least one person's day brighter, every day

ABOUT ME

Mike - I like bacon and green olives stuffed with garlic. I'm nerdy and a gearhead at the same time. The goal is to see as much of the world as possible.

PHILOSOPHY

Mike - Seize the day. I'm extreme. I'm either 110% in direction A, or 110% in direction B. And when doubt arises and one's judgment is clouded with too many 'choices' or confusion attempts to make your head explode- just pick one and run with it- hard- and forget all the rest.
Aydika - I very strongly believe in karma; positive thoughts will attract positive experiences. And I believe treating others with respect and kindness will (generally) yield similar results the other way around."When the power of love is greater than the love of power, all will know peace."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We don't have many opportunities to host, because the little retirement town we live in doesn't get much traffic from out-of-town visitors :)
But we try to go to as many CS meetups in our area as we can.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Mike - In France, I was given a place to stay for a couple nights with some people I had just met. They lived on the top floor of a large apartment building downtown Paris. We climbed up on the roof, admired the town/stars and drank wine while listening to Ben Harper (who was apparently all the rage as they couldn't get enough of him).Mike did some major surfing in Egypt and Europe in the summer of 2009 and met a lot of awesome people- it was an incredible experience. Same for a summer 2010 road trip - the favorite cities were the ones in which time was spent hanging out with local surfers.

Also, hiking across a glacier in Iceland - do I really have to limit this to just ONE amazing thing?? ..riding a camel in Egypt, spending a week on Necker Island with Richard Branson, this is gonna get big.
