About Me

If you are planning to visit Düsseldorf I wrote a small article: https://hemeistory.wordpress.com/2018/02/26/discover-dusseldorf-as-a-local/

CURRENT MISSION
Finishing my studies (computer sciences and software engineering), always learn something new and after let's see what the world has to offer me :).

ABOUT ME

Hello, fellow Couchsurfers.
I'm an open minded person, different then most girls you meet, relaxed, spontaneous, often straight forwards (dutchiness) und ein bisschen verpeilt 🤷‍♀️ (I don’t know how to translate this to english, it’s German) and I love to meet new people from different countries, who can share their travel experiences or just their time. Prefer deep conversations. I like cats to pet and I also love to make and to try new food (vegan).

For my first studies, I was in Thailand and in Indonesia (Bali) for a half year. I met many great people during this time. Besides that I lived/worked a year nearby London.
From December 2015 I live in Düsseldorf, Germany.
At the moment I am studying again and almost finished!
But let's keep in touch😁:

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to meet up with people, to see the world from their perspective and to make many friends from different cultures.
I have great experiences with Couchsurfing so far and met really interesting people.
To have faith in the human beings, so can you help me with that?

Interests

For me travelling makes me feel alive and free.
I found a new passion recently which is dancing💃 (salsa & bachata). Fell in love with this and practice from july 2021!
Furthermore, I really enjoy the nature and hiking is something that I really love to do, it makes me feel relaxed and calm, which I enjoy a lot. There are many beautiful places in the world to hike. My most memoriable hike was in Velebit (Croatia in 2018) which was really stunning.
I'm always interested in different cultures and am happy to hear your story about your culture.
Furthermore I love a bit of adventure, like hitchhiking or something else which give a bit of an adrenaline (but I don't like roller coasters).
I love animals, but for some dogs I'm a bit scared.
AND Food! I love to try out new local dishes but as a vegan it can be quite challenge while travelling ;) but so far so good.
I love to cook and also a little bit baking if I have free time to do.
I'm in many things interesting and it is too much to write about it, haha. I dare you to ask me :P.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies:
A lot, from everything with a good story, action till comedies. I don't really like horror as Saw (even thought I saw the first 4 movies). Lately I don't have time to watch anything, so if you have an recommendation to watch let me know.
I love to watch anime.

Music:
I like a lot of music, really depence on the mood, for example on one day I listen to classical music then switching over to (punk)rock and later to raggeaton, haha. I listen to EDM, house, Jazz, raggaeton, rock, Classical music, piano music, bosa nova. But I am very bad in remembering the song lyrics and titles.

Books:
Self-development books

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Volunteering in Bali: cleaning the nature from bottles and other plastic stuff.
Hitchhiked from Düsseldorf to Brugge 330km and back, we met the most awesome drivers
