ABOUT ME

I grew up in Sicily in the south of Italy and enjoyed the burning sun, the sea and the contrasts of my city, Palermo. When I was 24 I decided to "climb" Italy and go to study neurobiology in Pisa and once I was there I thought it was easier going on moving to north than coming back down in the boot. After two years master degree in Pisa I moved to Amsterdam and began the PhD in neuroscience. Apart from studying the brain I am attracted by modern and contemporary art. I love Tinguely's kinetic sculptures, photographers like Ferdinando Scianna, Robert Capa and Steve McCurry, music, watching movies. I love cycling and walking. I would like to meet people from different countries to see the world with other eyes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

scuba diving in Ustica island, Cabo da Roca (Portugal), the easter celebrations in Nocera Terinese (Italy) namely 'i vattienti', swimming in the Rhine.
