About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To find the ultimate urban exploration photo.

ABOUT ME

I'm an adventurous, thrill seeking type. I enjoy traveling, and love meeting new people. My passion is my photography, if I go anywhere my camera is usually with me. I enjoy all types of photography, but urban exploration is one of my favorite, and most intriguing types.

PHILOSOPHY

You only live once! I live my life for my family, but I love to travel and take the best photos possible while doing so. I feel life is too short to die never doing what you loved, and 5 miles from where you were born.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I traveled to Pattaya, Thailand from Japan. I'm a photographer, and if you love it as much as I do, you know that before you travel to a new place YOU MUST DO YOUR RESEARCH! This is without question. While doing my research I found that Thailand has the most abandoned buildings per capita, than any other place in the world. Needless to say, this intrigued me.
Why would abandoned buildings attract a photographer like yourself, you say? Because they hold a very unique story, and make great photography.
While researching I began looking for a tour guide, not just any tour guide, but a photographer, who knows all the best Urban Exploration (UX) spots around town. To my surprise one existed, and he spoke english!! How lucky! I began my communication with emails, and a couple phone calls to ensure legitimacy.
Once I arrived in Pattaya, we meet at a local Starbucks and discussed the plans for my amazing adventure, agreed on a price, and boom I was satisfied! During my tour with Mr. Ben Hodson I experienced a new high. Meeting him was a blessing, and the beginning of a new friendship. I was introduced to the most spectacular UX photo opportunities I would ever hope for, from a mysterious Russian building "the bat cave to old ship grave yards. If you're ever in Bangkok, or Pattayya and are looking for a good time for cheap. Find him here: http://blog.benhodson.com

Teach, Learn, Share

I enjoy learning from everyone. I spend a good majority of my time focusing on how I can be better than I was yesterday. But of course the experience of learning if always lubricated by those with similar intents, and tastes. I love teaching people about photography, and watching their work grow and get progressively better over time.
