About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I used to operate a hotel, and had some empty beds in the off season, where I did all my past hosting. The hotel thing is done, but I've got place (shared, family home) on Beautiful Lake Crescent where I hope to put up some future Couchsurfers.

ABOUT ME

Kind of boring middle aged white guy, very busy with work and family. So I'm not very likely to be able to hang out and be much of a host/tourguide. I do have many good quick suggestions on how to spend your time in my town, if you haven't got a set plan already.

Currently, I'm kind of fanatical about cycling and vintage lugged steel racing bikes. I'm pretty fit, mostly because of this. I have some miscellaneous bikes in several sizes you can borrow while you're here.

In previous lives I have been an airline employee (Horizon Air, 1998-2002), a painter (abstract acrylics), professional brewer (Bighorn Brewing, Salem OR, mid-1990's), guitar builder or "luthier" if you want to get technical (1990-present) TV public relations (KOMO-TV4 Seattle, 1987-90), bassist in several Seattle area rock bands (1982-1991) movie industry publicist (1985-1987). Etc.

PHILOSOPHY

Be nice; it's a nice way to go through life.
