ABOUT ME

I'm in my early-30s and have been married since 2007. At our urban semi-homestead we have three chickens, two cats, and a vasectomy.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm ideologically very liberal but I enjoy understanding the underlying interests of opposing positions. Too often people focus only on the "what" of an issue and of the "why," where understanding and common ground can be found.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm primarily looking to surf the occasional night or two in Oregon, so I can bike to events, meetings, etc.

We're open to someone surfing here, especially bike tourists. Corvallis is a sweet bike town.

I like to build, maintain, and ride bicycles for transportation, utility, and fun--basically to do everything. I really like mountain biking and getting out-of-town by bike.

I went on an over(one)night bike trip by myself.

I'm planning more trips so that I can put something much more amazing here.

Whiskey Sour

1) Shake the following with ice:
- 1 3/4 oz rye (Old Overolt)
- 1 oz fresh lemon juice
- 3/4 oz simple syrup (equal parts sugar and water heated and stirred until dissolved)
- 1 dash Angostura Bitters

2) Strain into a rocks/old fashioned glass filled with ice.

3) Garnish with a maraschino cherry (try to find a more natural one)
