About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Meet people, share cultures, improve my English...

ABOUT ME

DO NOT TRUST CS LAST LOGIN LOCATION : WHEN I AM IN UK, IT'S IN EXETER, UK!

I am Cyrielle, a young French PhD student in Biosciences (Microbiology, Infectious Diseases) in Exeter, UK.

I subscribed on CS when I was looking for hosts in the UK : I was looking for a PhD position and I wanted to travel, improve my English... at the same time. So I did a sort of road trip in the UK ! What an incredible experience, very enriching, I just met the best hosts ever ! You can follow my project on my French blog.

MORE ABOUT ME

I'm a duality personnified, so it's hard to put a label on me. I adapt myself to everything and everyone, because I enjoy almost everything and this contrary !

People used to say I'm easy going thanks to that. That's why I have a lot of different types of friends, I guess.

I'm also open-minded, polite, kind (I love to please people), optimistic, persevering, cheerful, curious, easily friendly with people I just met, fond of food and tea, and even if I love girly stuffs (shopping, beauty product, fashion...) I am not shallow (I love reading, learning,...). I am not vegan, but I can live without meat. I love watching sport (especially football) on TV, but I hate doing sport (except salsa). I'm sensitive to the cold, and I always wear an umbrella in my bag even when I lived in Toulouse, a sunny city ! I am an urban girl, and I prefer the sea than the mountain or countryside. I hate spiders and mosquitos, the only two animals I accept people to kill. I am a sleeper, but I can wake me up very early if it's for something awesome (going to Disneyland, meeting dolphins...) or just because I have to... !

PHILOSOPHY

Looking for happiness, what else ???

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

SURFING

I am easy going so I guess I am a good guest. I can adapt myself to the hosts' life : be quite or party with them, share meals or not,... and even cook (but I am not a Chef), help to do the housework, participate to their lifes like a "member of family" usually do, take care of the pets/children,..

I don't have a sleeping bag for the moment in the UK, but I have my own towels.

MEETING

Meeting a lot of people and share with them my happiness, my smile,...

If you are interested to learn French and French culture... just ask !

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

- And I use to meet face to face people I've met on Internet : forum members (Livraddict for book lovers), readers of my blog, another bloguers,...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Summer 2012, Andalusia (Spain).

I took a boat to try to "meet" some wild dolphins. After an hour of research, finally, my guide found them and there were about fifty dolphins swimming around my boat.

It was awesome.
