About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Have a laugh init

for new characters to share their time with me, I will appreiciate learning about new people, sharing new memories with them, and being able to document these characters through my work. That's my mission... :D

ABOUT ME

It's half past three in a Sunday afternoon, I've only just woken up .... I'm currently trying to think of something interesting about myself but I can't think of things straight away other than the obvious things like, my occupation, my age, yada yada, blah. blah. blah. I would prefer to give you a visualisation of my character so, I started with the line "It's 3.30 on a Sunday afternoon and I've only just woken up" so I shall continue my story of the past 24 hours and I'll let you see if you can paint a picture of my personality and character :). I am now sat in my underwear, a little hungover from the night before listening to Daft Punk, and trying to plan what work I am going to do today (if any), and I'm constantly day dreaming of different scenarios, and places I'd rather be ... even though it's not so bad right here.

PHILOSOPHY

I live only learn about myself and the world, and enjoy these things subjectively. I want to have an open mind about most things (and I mean to really have an open mind!) in order to learn about my likes and dislikes after being introduced to such new things from meeting new people, in new places.... it's a big world to explore!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I Want to experience meeting new people in anyway, so I don't mind sleeping on floors to do this, or inviting new people into my house, I am only young (19 years old) and I have a lot to learn, which I'm so excited about doing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am a new member but I have recently met with one person for a language exchange, and I also had some people stay with me for a first time gathering which consisted of drinks, porros and relaxing!

Interests

I am interested in people; analysing people's characters sometimes distracts me away from the conversations I'm having with these people, but that isn't saying these conversations aren't interesting.... it's saying I float around a lot ha!

I love arts of all mediums (photography, illustration, graphic arts, animations, cinema) and I currently practice Photography in an unconscious mind frame (the camera some how follows me everywhere I go).

I love Latin culture, It is hard to explain my interest but the feeling I can describe is just so warm and welcoming, and I love the phonetic sound of the Spanish language,so I am also interested in improving my language skills!

I enjoy music too, from Tame Impala to Daft Punk, The Strokes to Wu- Tan-Clan, The Beatles to Todd Terje .... I have a new found love for dancing (which I really need to improve!) and I fucking enjoy playing guitar too! I have learned how to play flamenco guitar (following my Latin interests), as well as some rocky/psychedelic sounds.

I enjoy Football too, I played for years as a Child, and I share support to my local football team and childhood favorites Torquay United, with my Dad.

I love takeing my time too, I am easily distracted, and learning about myself daily....what a quest we're all on!

Music, Movies, and Books

I fucking liked Django unchained!

but I love all sorts of movies and music, there are soooo many things I could write down ..........

I love Flamenco music with Rodrigo y Gabriela y Paco de Lucia, Jazz music; Swing, Woody Herman, Cuban: Bebo Valdes, Chano Pozo ....... I love blues (Roger Johnson) , I love rock bands like The Strokes, I love psychedelic bands like The Beatles (Sgt. Peppers and Reveolver) Tame Impala, The Stone Roses, I love house and dance like Todd Terje, Tube & Berger, and Daft Punk ... there are so many musicians that I love.

My favorite films consist of Chico y Rita, Interstellar 5555, Nowhere Boy, This Is England, Trainspotting, Up, The Aristocrats, Pulp Fiction (OF COURSE!), Yellow Submarine, Control, The Road, Che, Django, wow so many of these too fuckkkkk ha!

I buy quite obscure books, I'm currently reading "The Observer's Book of Dogs". I enjoy learning little facts which I can apply to daily things, so for example I'll be able to tell you the difference between The Scottish Terrier and the Sealyham Terrier. I've got a handbook on cats too, Mediterranean Island hopping, Shoot the Damn Dog (a book of memoirs about the secret life of the depressed Author) - by Sally Brampton ....but for me this book was too real and I had to stop reading a short way in because it would've driven me crazy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm going to write this in Spanish only for reason I shall mention - Creo que lo mas loca cosita que tengo experiencia en mi vida es comprando billetos de Londres por Barcelona dos dias antes el avion, y no diciendo con una persona en el mundo otra que mi amigo mejor sobre el viaje..... this was in feburary, and I really really loved the buzz....maybe it doesn't sound so exciting, but for me it was such a thrill! Also When I was 16 my best friend and myself went Strasbourg alone to meet people whom we had only met previously for 10 minutes in a Youth Hostel in Barcelona.

I have also hosted a house party that included friends from all of my friendship groups, from primary school to university, travels, the lot! It was such an amazing time!

Teach, Learn, Share

Be Logical, and learn to love yourself... I am trying to do so and gradually I am learning more and more about myself but it is such a slow process. The most important part of the process for me is personal time to reflect upon what I am learning, and this personal solitude helps me to keep an open mind ... so remember to enjoy the moments that you feel most alive, and to reflect upon them afterwards... this is the best way to make mistakes too, but mistakes aren't always a bad thing!
