About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Eat, live and be happy

ABOUT ME

I am a Philadelphian who was born and raised in Hanoi. I love people and love life. I enjoy meeting and getting to know new people. I've only been back to Hanoi in March '13 so I would love to make new friends!

I chose the hospitality industry for this very reason. Meeting and talking to people just energize me! I love to travel but I don't enjoy travelling by myself. I love to share and love company.

One of the best things that I have done in life is dedicating 2 months in the summer one year to work on an organic farm in the States. It was such an eye opening experience. I wouldn't say that I am a hard-core tree-lover but at least, I care about the environment and I try to live more environmentally-friendly. The time I was on the farm was eye-opening. A head of lettuce, just simple lettuce, required so much work to get from a seed to one's table.

The whole experience makes me much more humble in life and helps me see the beauty in everything in life. That's why I am always positive and happy.

PHILOSOPHY

I am Dory (from Finding Nemo) so I don't hold grudges. Just keeping swimming~~

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can take people around and show them all the cool things about my home city! Hanoi is a super awesome city.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hung out with the Couchsurfing group in Hanoi once on an outing trip and it was awesome. It was the first week I was back in Vietnam from the States. It was a bit risky as I was still adjusting back to the time zone and climate but the trip was totally worth it. We visited many historical sites and I met a lot of fun people!!!
