About Me
CURRENT MISSION
STAY FIT, HAVE FUN, EAT WELL, AND EXPLORE THE WORLD WITHOUT FEAR!!!
ABOUT ME
Grew up in California in love with the beach. Had lots of childhood adventures traveling with my parents as a young boy. Had bigger adventures as a teenager traveling solo. Landed jobs at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics and the 1998 Lisbon World Exposition. Lived in Spain for a year as a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar studying Interpreting at the University of Gananda. Dropped out of my classes and dated a Spanish girl which improved my language skills quickly. Been living in New York for the past 12 years. When I am not working at Bloomberg LP I am training for triathlon or planning my next trip to take me as far away from New York as possible - preferably somewhere warm really great food, fun people, and some waves. When I can't travel myself I like to host interesting people from around the world in my guest room. Might that be you?
PHILOSOPHY
Live and let live. (Unless, of course, you threaten someone I care about - then its a different story...)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Im a busy New Yorker who works at a full time corporate job (8am-6pm) while also training for a Ironman triathlon before and after work. BUT...if you are super interesting, somewhat charming and highly passionate about making a positive impact on the world then you might just persuade me let you crash in my guest room for FREE- its a lovely set up that's located just 10 mins from Time Square. Check the pictures.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Im totally new to couch surfing.org But I have, in fact, surfed on many couches in my day. Long before the this website site or even this whole Interweb thing ever existed! I guess I'm just an old school adventure traveler looking to keep up with modern times....
Interests
Traveling the world. Meeting interesting people. All things food - cooking, eating, sharing, shopping, whatever. I like to make art (large format photography). I like to buy art (mostly sculptures and paintings). I like to exercise and stay fit. I practice yoga. I race triathlons. I'm getting back into surfing. I eat a Paleo diet. I love real dance clubs with real dance music. I'm fluent in Castilian Spanish. I know a bit of Portuguese. I adore children. My favorite foods include: Organic dark chocolate. French champagne. Anything with butter on it.

Music, Movies, and Books
I dont have time for much of this :(
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I shot bootleg Dream team pictures of Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, and Larry Bird at their 1992 Gold Medal interview in Barcelona. I was 18 years old and working for NBC. But the best part is this: I had hitchhiked my way Barcelona from Southern Spain after running out of money three weeks into my trip...but thats another story altogether.
