About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Meet new people. Learn new languages. Improve my Chinese. Learn and grow my spiritual being.
ABOUT ME
I am an Asian Fijian, that is, I am from the lovely island country called Fiji. I have been in a America for a year and a half now and my time here has been wonderful so far. I like to travel and explore. I reckon that to find more about oneself, one must get lost too. I'm philosophical in a way and I like listening and learning more about different culture.
PHILOSOPHY
There are a set of rules I live by, that I learned from my father. Some being:
1. Always be respectful
2. Hold in whatever negativity I have and turn it into something positive
3. If someone does a favor for me, I return it back.
4. I pay my own and don't beg
5. Help someone who is really truly in need
There are actually more but these rules are what makes me, Phyllis.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I would like to meet fellow couch surfers during my free time. Right now I am really new to this so I am taking it one step at a time.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I met a couch surfer who's stories just made me more curious about couch surfing. I would like to see what adventures awaits me.
Interests
What do I do in my free time?
I like to read particularly novels. I like watching movies, side note: I am horrified of horror movies. I also like to volunteer and I like to wander around Boston visiting new restaurants and coffee shops because I do like my coffee.
My favorite topic of conversation is any conversation. I do like to learn more. So I am happy to have conversations from religion to even business!

Music, Movies, and Books
There are just too many to name. Just know that I love my music, movies and books. I cannot leave without my ipod.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I participated in a two week camp in China. It was a cultural camp where students from all over the world stayed in a university. We had the choice of either learning martial arts or folk dancing. I chose martial arts and my time during those two weeks was something I would never forget. I met so many people from different countries. The friends I made were all so interesting.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach some Fijian words.
I would like to learn how to cook more foreign dishes, it doesn't need to be exotic. I like learning about new cultures and languages.
