Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I quite like meeting new people and doing stuff together, but when I'm a bit more tired I'm happy to just help someone out by hosting. I've only hosted a few people a couple of times, but I'd like to travel more sometime in the future.

Interests

People are interesting, music, films, arty stuff generally, political economy, socio-economic/general human relations, mental health, historiography.

Language show a pathway into a whole collection of social realities expressed in a way intimate to the individual experiencing them. So that's cool. My Spanish is pretty nonexistent too but I know serveral speakers of it and plan to pick it up as it comes to me in life and while consciously trying to learn Gaelic.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to whatever I find catchy tbh. Been listening to the two-tone ska a lot recently. Pacific Rim, A Town Called Panic and Mad Max: Fury Road are good examples of some of the films I enjoy.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm really wanting to learn Spanish if anyone can help out! I can talk loads about history, language, identity, political economy, Glasgow and generally anything I can get interested! I don't really know what I can teach, but I enjoy conversation and find I can learn much from chatting
