About Me

CURRENT MISSION

So far I can cross England, the U.S. and Canda off my list. I should probably hurry up.

ABOUT ME

I'm a laid-back guy with a great sense of humor. I love to laugh and (try) to get others to laugh as well. I like to think of myself as a fairly practical, creative, fun person. I go through streaks of being lazy and catching up on various TV shows, but generally I like being out doing something, even if it's just driving around on a sunny day listening to some great music.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to be nice, caring, and open-minded. That's all I have for a philosophy so far. Maybe my travels will give me more ideas.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm new to Couchsurfing. Writing this profile is the most I've done to participate so far. I read about Couchsurfing in a travel blog, loved the idea, and am hoping to use it when I travel to South Africa with my good friend, Jeff.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm new to Couchsurfing and don't have any experience to speak of yet. I'm trying to fix that, though.

Interests

I'm a huge fan of various types of music. I've been addicted to Spotify lately which lets me find and experience all different kinds of music. I'm a web designer for an internet company in Boston. When I'm not working my day job, though, I'm a singer and beatboxer in a professional a cappella vocal band. I love my work (in both jobs) and my co-workers.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One experience I had with my a cappella group had us working with junior high and high school chorus students and performing for them in the evening. They were such an amazing, supportive, wonderful crowd. It made my whole group feel so special.

I was also amazed to actually see Stonehenge in person. It's incredible (and impossible?) to try to think of how it came to be.

Teach, Learn, Share

While it may not come in handy in day-to-day life, I'd love to teach you how to beatbox (make drum sounds with your mouth). It's a really fun/cool skill to have and is great at parties. I'd also love to teach about some web design or juggling.
