ABOUT ME

I'm a college student from the United States, but I just got back from studying abroad in Seoul, South Korea. I travel as much as I can, if my wallet allows it. :)

PHILOSOPHY

Take chances, make mistakes, get messy!

Okay, so I stole that from Ms. Frizzle from Magic School Bus, but it is true.

I find that when I let myself go, I do things I never thought I would do. I'm naturally introverted, but when I remind myself of all the good times I've had so far in traveling, they all relate to meeting new people in unexpected ways.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'll be traveling as much as I can in the next few years, so this site is helpful to me. I'll also have my house open to people who want to stop by, but as I usually live in the middle of nowhere in the United States, I don't expect many visitors haha. But I love meeting new people, so hit me up.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've never had a couchsurfing experience yet! I have rented apartments and houses for a week at a time for vacations, but the owners weren't living there with me. I think it will provide a whole new way of traveling and experiencing someone's life with them.

Interessen

I love to read, write, travel, swim, hang out with people, try new food, sleep under the stars or go camping. I prefer to travel alone, but I also enjoy company from others sometimes. My childhood was spent in a big van with my family driving cross country, so I think I provide a good travel mate because of those experiences! :)

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Indie rock, pop, hip-hop/rap, any music really. I've been getting into country music lately, which I'm sure my emo 14 year old self would shudder to imagine.

I like horror, action, and indie films, but I will watch almost anything.

I read a lot, but my current favorites to re-read are the LOTR series, A Wrinkle in Time, and City of Thieves.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

I think the most amazing experiences I've ever had in my life was going to San Diego with my family for my brother's graduation from Marine boot camp. Nothing particularly spectacular happened while we were there, I just loved to spend so much time with my whole family. I have five siblings and they are all important to me. The most fun I've had is usually spent with them :)

Lehren, lernen, teilen

I can teach you a lot about the English language, and I love to study other languages too. I'm currently learning Spanish and Korean. I want to learn as much as I can about other people and their first, second and third languages haha. I love to have conversations about cultural differences, different perspectives on history, etc. I can sit for hours and talk about things like that.
