ABOUT ME

Although I complain about mindless homework in school, my sole purpose on this planet is to learn. I love to absorb information through people, places, and experiences. I'm fascinated by history, not only the history of countries and powerful public figures, but of individuals-what makes every person so unique, yet what makes us all the same. I am constantly taken aback by how small this world is, and how interconnected we all truly are.

PHILOSOPHY

I don't think I have a "personal philosophy". However, I enjoy quotes from books, movies, music, people, etc.. and I sometimes live my life by them.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like to contribute to the world in the small ways that I can. Whether it is my time, or my clothing that I have outgrown, or simply my opinion. I believe we were all put on this earth to teach and learn from one another. I believe it is the simple things in life that are most important: a clear night where the stars are brilliant, an amazing cup of coffee, a smile from a stranger.. it is the product of these small things that establish our overall happiness.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have never couch surfed before!! I have been blessed with an uncharacteristically adventurous cousin who showed me this website. However, I have nowhere to live for a month this summer, and I will be traveling Europe next year. So I figured I should establish myself within the CS community now, to better my chances of companionship in the year to come.

Interests

I like: good books, even better coffee, pink, laughing, clothing of all kinds, movies that make me cry, the mountains, singing, making something beautiful out of something simple, dream catchers, sparkles, key lime pie, the north star, working out (...kinda...), talking, fresh mangos, music, my family, and most of all-ending each day with a smile.

Music, Movies, and Books

I only like movies that evoke emotion. If I have not laughed uncontrollably or cried by the end, I am disappointed. I love to read; I am a closet nerd. I don't have a preference on what I read, as long as I don't want to put it down. I love music of all types: anywhere from reggae to alternative, and all the notes in between.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There is no ONE amazing experience of my life. I've crawled through a cave in the Dominican Republic; Watched my niece and 2 nephews sprout into unique human beings; Performed on a cruise ship in the middle of the Caribbean; Explored the catacombs underneath Paris; Rode horses at sunset on a beach in Mexico; Had a garment I designed and created entered as a museum piece; Watched the stars on a clear night; And loved with my whole heart

Teach. Learn. Share. Maybe I have found my personal philosophy after all. Who are we in this world without these three components working together in our lives. They are the basis of humanity.
