About Me

CURRENT MISSION

No real mission. Living, maybe?

ABOUT ME

I'm not good at describing myself. Ask if/when we meet. So two facts you might want to know beforehand are that: Straightforwardness is the way to go with me. And I eat my food a certain way. If you ask me for a bite just when I'm about to have the perfect one (the last bite), I'll probably give it to you. But I'll hate you for the rest of my life (not really, but I will curse inside for a while).

PHILOSOPHY

No one should be bound to the standard of anything. One should always feel free to innovate, to break grounds, to go through walls; no matter what society says. Just live your life for yourself and the ones you love, just don't let anyone tell you how to live it. Overall, I don't judge anyone for what they do or don't do. I guess I could say I judge them by the value they have for me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Been a part of the community for a while now, Hosted a bit and surfed a bit more. At the moment I'm without a residence, so I can't host. But I will be able to again soon!!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've met tons of people through Couchsurfing. Either through hosting or surfing I've had only wonderful experiences.

Interests

My main interests are Literature, Philosophy and Music. In my free time I write and read a lot. My interests have a wide range, I like being able to have a conversation with anyone about anything. I love almost every genre of music. However, the universe was unfair to give me no true musical talent, just an intense love and interest for music. With my two left feet, two right hands and 10 pinkies I was able to learn how to play the drums (although I haven't played in a while due to the fact one cannot carry a drum set), some piano (with much more effort than imagined), and right now I'm trying to learn guitar (although 17 years so far have shown me that guitars hate me).

Music, Movies, and Books

Although my music taste is pretty broad and large I, unfortunately, haven't watched as many movies as I have listened to music, so I'd love some suggestions if you have a wonderful movie to watch. The ones that come to mind at the moment are: The Way, Inception, Cloud Atlas, Magnolia, Foreverland, Artificial Intelligence, Requiem For A Dream.

A list would be endless, so I'll just throw genres out there: Progressive Rock/Metal (or anything progressive pretty much), Krautrock, Post Rock/Metal, Trip-hop, some House, Jazz (usually like older stuff more than newer, but still a fan of both), latin stuff and also the usual; Folk, Indie and stuff alike. Also listen to many other genres but this'd be long. I'm pretty selective with my music but still try to be open to new stuff. So I always love hearing other people's taste. Open for suggestions!

Books would also make a long list. As a kid I fed on Jules Verne novels until I got to read half of them. I also fed on sagas of any type, having read Narnia, Harry Potter, and whatnot. By now I feed on existential novels, poetry, philosophy and just whatever is good. Books that come to my mind right now are My Name Is Red, Demian, Elective Affinities, Nausea, Death With Interruptions. Again...open for everything. Just a year ago while reading The Elephant's Journey I found Holes by Louis Sachar (which is apparently a pretty standard children's book) and loved it completely. =P

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, I've been very lucky throughout my life. I've found myself many times lying in my bed thinking: "Wow. Is this real? This can't be." I've had the chance of having a completely new life about two times now and it's completely crazy. It's my second time living abroad and I'm just so grateful I can do this. I'm also amazed with the fact there are so many amazing people out there, all willing to help each other out. Even if it's just a portion, to think that there are so many is great.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach as much Spanish as you may like. I can also teach English if that's the case. Most of the time I find myself thinking in English rather than in Spanish. I can also teach anything you may want to learn from me. I don't dispose of many skills, but if you want get a cool beat just using your hands and a table, or if you want to learn some basic melodies in piano...I can help. I'd also like learning whatever you have for me to learn. I LOVE learning.
