About Me

[MUST read entire profile, no copy and paste messages, include my name and something that interests you from my profile in your message] Live life and explore it while you still can! I'm adventurous, outgoing and ready to see the world! I love traveling. and I love my city, San Antonio! It offers the best of Texas and Mexico, in one. We are a large tourist destination and conference city. I'm into technology, staying social, local and live music, local eats/drinks, San Antonio history nerd, beer snob and friendly socialite.

I work downtown M-F 8-5. I lived in "SA" for almost 10 years now, where I've self-discovered many sights, the best of the scenes and history of the city. I do prefer to host fellow open-minded people as I can show you that "local" side as well. If not, it's totally fine with me just be open-minded. **Must read my entire profile to get accepted, there is a certain message I require to ensure you read it. (I wrote all the information to help you!) read before requesting** When requesting, you should have a full profile and pics. Verification doesn't add to your personality.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I participate in CS to be an ambassador for San Antonio. I live in downtown San Antonio, you will see culture and community. You'll check out the coolest places SA has to offer. San Antonio is a great place to live and visit

As a host: I can show you the local way to explore. I give you the space and options to explore the city. I offer plenty of tips and mostly free local events. I prefer guests to have exceptional positive feedback. I will also try hosting new members if we communicate often via WhatsApp or iMessage weeks prior. I can tour you or I'll give you self touring options, depending on the day I'm hosting. **Let me know why you'll be in San Antonio - fun/work/etc** As a guest: I'm extremely clean and respectable of your space/house rules. I appreciate being toured but love to self-discover as well. ----

Interests

I'm social and active in the community.I do enjoy fine foods(3 T's: taquerias, taco-trucks, tapas). I do enjoy fine alcohol from the best tequilas, to hole-in-the-wall bars or craft beer, love to visit distilleries. I have a deep love for cycling, recycling, living minimally, using public transport, living out of a backpack

Music, Movies, and Books

Mostly into EDM, specifically vocal trance, deep trance. Love to travel for music festivals!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Solo traveling - the best thing ever. Best trip: 2015 took a Megabus from San Antonio to New Orleans, LA, where I couchsurfed the beautiful city with an amazing host(thank you!), had the best journey into Atlanta, GA where I surfed a day and had an amazing host, then journeyed into a music festival in Atlanta: TomorrowWorld. I camped with strangers for 4 days who became longtime friends.

Another solo couchsurfing journey: Megabus to Houston, TX -> Philly, PA, had an amazing host; Megabus to New York (another amazing host!), to New Jersey.

Love to travel and see the world from my vision.

Teach, Learn, Share

As a host I can teach you all about San Antonio from the historical side to the local community.

I want to learn about where you're from and the differences.

Let's share a trinket! As a host please bring anything to share, I'd like to grow a small collection from surfers. I'll do the same as a guest!*This is optional! but cool huh?

What I Can Share with Hosts

What to do in San Antonio:

Things to do now: http://www.do210.com/ - music, free events etc

Riverwalk: http://www.thesanantonioriverwalk.com/
http://www.sanantonioriver.org/ Riverwalk is iconic to San Antonio, you're able to eat, drink and shop (Rivercenter Mall) on the river. You can also bike (B Cycle bike rentals) or walk to Pearl Brewery, all the missions, and 3 museums.

San Antonio Missions: http://www.nps.gov/saan/index.htm ( I recommend Mission San Jose ) Free tours and movies are available at almost every mission. Check the website for times. Sunday church service is still held

Pearl Brewery: http://atpearl.com/

Museums:
San Antonio Museum of Art (Free on Sundays and Tuesdays, otherwise $10) *
McNay Museum (Free on Thursdays, otherwise $20) *
Witte Museum (Free on Tuesdays)
Briscoe Western Museum (Free on Tuesdays)*
*Recommended

River Barges - https://www.goriocruises.com/ - I recommend taking a boat ride on the Riverwalk, it's around $10 and tour guides will give you all the history on this 30-minute ride around San Antonio.

Tower of Americas: http://www.toweroftheamericas.com/ - the Tallest building in San Antonio at 622 feet. I recommend having a drink at the bar during happy hour for a free ride to the top. Otherwise, it's $11 for the observation deck and a 4D movie about San Antonio. I recommend this

Historic Market Square: www.marketsquaresa.com/ - largest Mexican market in America. - eats and drinks.

La Villita: https://www.lavillitasanantonio.com/

Southtown: http://www.texasmonthly.com/travel/southtown-and-down/

Six Flags Fiesta Texas: https://www.sixflags.com/fiestatexas

Sea World San Antonio: https://seaworldparks.com/en/seaworld-sanantonio/

Austin (1-hour drive): http://www.austintexas.org/visit/

***********NOTES********
I don't recommend buying a ticket to any "tours" - these are tourist traps. These include the Segway Tours, Double Decker Bus Tours, walking tours, ghost tours, Alamo Trolly tours. --If you're really wanting to do this, most are on Groupon.

Bars in Texas close at 2 am.
Liquor stores are closed on Sunday and after 8:55 pm every other day. Beer is sold at stores and sales end at 12 am, 1 am on Sunday.

You're able to drink alcohol freely on the Riverwalk only! Do not drink in the streets.

Jaywalking is illegal.
