About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Save some money for more travel, Marry the love of my life, probably have kids pretty soon.

ABOUT ME

Just started a new job in Vancouver with Intel. I am pretty big on finding new experiences. I recently got engaged and will probably be getting married at some point. I'm pretty easy going although I love a good argument (Don't let that intimidate you, I'm a big softy). I'm very athletic and love any sort of challenge. I have a big goofy Rottweiler that lives with me who is my best buddy.

PHILOSOPHY

Who knows. I just live and enjoy things as they come to me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hosting mostly. I'm planning on going travelling again at some point and I have definitely had the best experiences when I was surfing rather than staying in hostels but I'm saving up at the moment so it will be a while before I make any more big trips I imagine.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfed in new zealand, australia and indonesia. Hosted a bunch of surfers now and have enjoyed every experience.

Interests

Any sort of sport or game. Trying new things. High quality food and drink (micro brew beer is my favourite and I'm trying to develop a pallet for wine) .

Music, Movies, and Books

Comedies and scifi are my typical choices although i am getting into philosophical type stuff more and more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

open heart surgery!!!!! I got to watch one, in the OR. It was super awesome.

Teach, Learn, Share

This is a weird category. I'm not sure what to put here. I decided to go with this:

I have a wealth of teaching experience. I used to be a swim and fitness instructor and I taught electronics and computer science for a bit at my first real job. I usually end up teaching my hosts something tech related and I have fixed up (or taught how to fix) numerous bikes of surfers who have stayed with me. learning and sharing are cool too... I don't know

What I Can Share with Hosts

Well I am fairly handy and like fixing things (especially bikes) so I am happy to help with a project around your home. I'm a computer nerd so technical support is often something I find myself doing for hosts. I love to cook and usually require that I make you at least one meal if I'm staying with you. Generally I feel like surfing should be repaid in kind if possible as well.
