Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to learn new things i.e food and culture and discuss the differences between Tanzania and other countries where travelers or volunteers will come from. I want to make new friends by providing them with food and a place to sleep in either our small African four member family house or at our children's orphanage centre(nocet) in Arusha Tanzania.
Interests
I am social person who is a helper. I like working with people, often in teams and enjoy counseling or caring for others.
I also like to start projects and make decisions. As a conventional person, I like structured jobs and I enjoy working with numbers and instructions. I like organizing data and writing reports.
Music, Movies, and Books
Music is “Please Forgive Me” by Bryan Adams
Movie is “Gods Must Be Crazy”
Book is “Serengeti Shall Not Die” by Bernhard Grizmek and his son.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
There are many children that live on the streets or live in homes without love or attention in Tanzania. Through our centre nocet and with assistance of other funding organizations, I have been able to help the disadvantaged children that need help in creating a normal life, by improving their educational outcomes and creating and supporting long-term change in communities entrenched in disadvantage. I have tried my best to help improve the wellbeing of disadvantaged children and to change the future for young Tanzanians and their families living in poor communities
Teach, Learn, Share
One of the best ways to avoid being poor as an adult is to obtain a good education. People who have higher levels of academic achievement and more years of schooling earn more than those with lower levels of human capital.
