About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Just working and living life. Always scheming to see when I can take my next trip.

ABOUT ME

I recently got back in to traveling after a long break (upwards of 7 years).
When I'm not performing my duties as a member of the Canadian Forces I am playing hockey, squash, baseball, or golfing. I'm also an avid fan of movies and tv shows, and pretty much enjoy any type of music.

I truly believe that the ultimate benefit of travel is meeting new people and simply discovering about their everyday culture. It can be the smallest things that vary wildly from region to region, and that's what I love to experience.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As mentioned before, aside from saving money while traveling, the social aspect is very important. The atmosphere within hostels can be amazing, but nothing quite compares to getting to know somebody in an even more casual setting.

Interests

One of the issues I have in life is that I end up interested in almost everything. I want to experience so much that I rarely have time to partake in everything I want. It's for that reason that I'm working on being more committed to specific things, but it's not an easy habit to drop.

Music, Movies, and Books

I will literally listen to every type of music imaginable, and I find it goes through some pretty massive phases. This can range from one week, to one year. So weird.

I do enjoy most genres of film, but specifically historical films and especially war films. I also have no difficulties turning off my brain and enjoying a mindless comedy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The top of Mount Lucerne was something else. . .

Teach, Learn, Share

I do possess some survival skills that I've learned with the army, as well as leadership and organizational skills. One thing that I'm often told I'm very good at is managing stress and helping people relax. I am able to easily brush things off if I find them negative, and can be used as a soundboard to bounce things off of.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm knowledgeable about 20th century history, and also about Canadian history in general. If you want to know about where I come from, I'm proud of it and can help with what you need.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, England, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Switzerland

Countries I’ve Lived In
