About Me

"I believe that we live in a wonderful world that is full of beauty, charm and adventure. There is no end to the adventure we can have if only we seek them with our eyes open. "

In 2014 I quit my job (and life) in Singapore to backpack in New Zealand. Been traveling ever since! Currently "settled down" in Guadeloupe.

I'm not on CouchSurfing to entertain men.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think that being allowed the privilege to stay in a local's home gives me the opportunity to experience what daily living in a different country is like. I like learning new things and I find it utterly fascinating how different things are than what I'm used to back at home. I like meeting and discovering new people and things. I think it's amazing to discover new thoughts, ideas, beliefs, and ways of life during this journey

I think Couchsurfing is a wonderful platform to meet like minded people with a passion for traveling and other similar interests. So far, I've couchsurfed in New Zealand and New Caledonia, and I hope to expand the list in the future.

When I'm not traveling, I like to host CSers when I can. I've hosted in Thailand, Georgia and France. I would really prefer you to actually read my profile and to know a bit more about me before you send me a request. Please understand that I am not just a means of free accommodation for you.

Interests

I love cooking and baking, so if I ever have the pleasure of surfing with you, I'd be sure to contribute to a meal (or a dessert)! Oh, definitely goes to say, I love food. One of my favourite things is to discover and to try all the local delicacies when I visit new places!

I'm scared of fish, but I love snorkelling and diving.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

After traveling to more than 15 countries, I've accumulated more than one amazing thing! But it all started by me leaving my sheltered city life in Singapore where I'd lived for my first 23 years to travel and discover the world. (;

Life is a journey, and there will never be an end to the amazing things that I experience in my walk.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like learning things about other cultures, but food is my number 1 interest (; I love finding out about new and local produce, the dishes, and how to make them! But I am happy to discover new things that you might want to share.

Hmm... I can probably share some things about my travels and experiences, and of course my home country, Singapore. Especially if you intend to visit, I can tell you where's good to go, and of course the local food that you absolutely must try!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am happy to share my travel experiences with you if you would like to hear about them.

I like to cook! I can't say I'm any good with local Singaporean cuisine- I just do whatever that tickles my tastebuds. But if you're up for trying, let me cook a meal for you (;
