About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel, hear new music, meet people, experience different ways of life

ABOUT ME

People say I am a chill person- not too much can bother me! I like to have an open mind and cultivate appreciation for different art, music, food, etc. I think meeting people and traveling are great ways to expand awareness for the traveller and local.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have a couch available. I would rather couch surf when traveling to have a more local experience.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have had a bunch of CSers stay at our house. Two ended up being roommates and others have become good friends. I couchsurfed myself in Montreal, Minneapolis, and across Europe.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like all kinds of movies, especially weird ones (david lynch is my favorite) and sci-fi. I listen to and mix a lot of electronic music, first got into jungle and drum n bass, then some dubbed out weirdness, then house/minimal/techno.. recently I've been moving away from strictly electronic music and trying to revisit my previous interests. I used to play jazz guitar in an ensemble and I still love jazz, jazz fusion and funk. I am also into prog rock, Radiohead, Rush, King Crimson, Godspeed, Bjork, etc.. and classical, reggae/dub... plus some experimental noise/ambient/drone. I can appreciate almost any kind of music and I like to check out the local music scene wherever I am.
My last favorite books were by Haruki Murakami-- Kafka on the Shore and The Wind Up Bird Chronicle.. I'm always looking for recommendations.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My experience in Moscow in the spring of 2006 was unreal.. can't really pick out anything in particular... I want to go back sometime soon.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've tutored beginning Russian. I like juggling, if you have some clubs we could pass. I am a novice at Go, I'd love to get some playing experience. I like to jam with people, I can knock out some beats on drums/drum machine and play a little guitar/bass.
