ABOUT ME

I'm mildly crazy, but in a fun random way. I'm chipper and a hard worker, I like simple things and love to be amazed. I seek angles often overlooked, and love to sit in a park and read. sunlight is amazing and the nectar of life.

I practice various random skills: slacklining, footbag (hackysack), frisbee, juggling...
and like to be active in various ways: ultimate frisbee, soccer, Contact Improvisation, as well as skiing, Biking, hiking(Tramping), playing squash, swimming. and generally being outdoors (you can often find me lying in the grass at the park, with a book nearby).

Born and raised in Boulder Colorado, I've been lucky and have traveled a decent amount. Many trips to Germany to visit family (grandparents) and some friends I have developed over the years. I've also been to Italy a few times and recently Paris (hope to see more of Europe soon). I have family on the east coast of USA and visit up there frequently, visiting family in New York and newengland and friends all over that area.

school at CU was decent, A certificate in German while tackling Mechanical Engineering studies. I also squeezed in some fun darkroom photography exploration time, and some random mythology studies.

WAS in NZ and I met lovely people and tramped a lot!
learned some snowcraft and scaled some peaks
I did not learn to surf
I also survived 2 major earthquakes in Christchurch and (enjoyed) many little after shocks.

NOW moved to Portland, OR and considering pursing an entry level engineering gig - maybe. Mostly I help at a local small store and continue to seek ways to explore and enjoy film photography. Lets get out and explore the natural area! I'm slow to discover Portland, so if you are here or moving through - lets explore!

PHILOSOPHY

try everything once...
pick up trash you find as you go
leave it better than you found it
Recycle recycle recycle.
Solution Focused
Contribute

and explore as much as you can! but don't forget to just sit in the grass and watch the clouds go by now and again

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hummingbird hovering a few feet away, kinda scary looking at that sharp beak....

Shower under a waterfall!!

my home in christchurch New Zealand

Had an amazing A1 day at adirondack camp earlier this summer, it was a thursday... I was just rediculously happy and full of life, and I think fedia was walking the line =D. ALso being recognized with a Gold Eagle just makes me feel so-so good inside.

My third day on telemark skis I launched off a cliff, survived and then made the most amazing tele-turn through sick powder and received a lovely face shot from jack frost.

(I stopped in the middle of the sidewalk a few weeks ago and just soaked in the sun for 5 minutes before I decided I should try to get to class on time...yep exciting I know.)

My favorite amazing thing would have to be spontaneously giving a friend flowers one day and the look/smile she had on her face, plus the fact that the flowers lived for over a month and she eventually got rid of them because their eternal blooming was starting to scare her.

amazing thing not seen: swimming in the ocean with 5 Dolphins all within 10 feet of me and hearing them, but the water was murky and turbid so I didn't see my sleek friends
