About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To live a real life.

ABOUT ME

I don`t like to describe myself. My mission and occupation give an idea of who I am, but to really know we`ve got to meet.
I'm from Rio de Janeiro and I'm currently living in providence, RI, USA, for a PhD .

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Nowadays mainly going to meetings when travelling.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In Porto Alegre, southern Brazil, I`ve been in a couchsurfing meeting and I made friends and had great time. That`s why I decided to be part of it. If in a meeting I made friends and had good time, I imagine great things will happen in becoming part of it. So, today (16/12/08) my first guests are leaving and there`s another arriving today or tomorrow. It`s been so nice. I`ve found out that I like to be a guide.

... updating... some more guests in new year and I was a guest during Carnaval, in Salvador.

...updating... I won`t update it for the rest of my life! From time to time, someone comes to my appartment, believe me, and from time to time, I surf at someones appartment. :)

In Colombia I used a lot couchsurfing to make connections, many friends, many parties... and I slept two nights in Juan`s apartment, in Cartagena. It was nice!

And I`ve been guests other times now, in Brasil, Argentina and Chile. And used a lot of couchsurfing to meet locals in meetings.

Anyway, anwsering the question "why I`m on couchsurfing", nowadays I think it`s mainly to know new places through local views and make local friends. I`ve also hosted and kinda guided lot of people in Rio de Janeiro.
