ABOUT ME
The years keep accelerating, but every one is better than the last. Always searching for adventure. Spent the last eight working in asia; great to mix new culture, food, language, friends and visions into the challenges of a working life. Get to the beach, mountains, remote places whenever I can. Now living in Ghana - life is full of thrills
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Recently started with couchsurfing, but have been host to and hosted by many fine people in 20 years of travel. Finest experience perhaps was trucking into a remote village in Eritrea, no lodging, no Amharic language. The village elders and I stared and smiled at each other for 30 minutes. Eventually they led me to the school teacher, who put me up. Then I was welcomed with a traditional coffee ceremony - after an hour of roasting and peeling beans, I got a thimbleful of some very fine coffee, and a cup full of good memories.
