About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Exploring Europe, building businesses

ABOUT ME

Im a hedonist by nature and an optimist by experience.
I have an insatiable desire to learn, experience, feel, and travel to all the worlds most amazing places. I like to think of myself as an ambitious pioneer, set on discovering as much as I can about our planet, solar system, and what lies beyond.

My life goal right now is to travel to 150 countries, and then go to space :)

I am at 105 countries....and coming to one near you soon.

Below is my life for the few years for those with time, but better to just grab me for a coffee or drink :

I moved to Japan for a year to teach English when I was 18. I saw the beauty of life in different lands and threw myself into the Asian winds.

I flew to the south and bounced from island to island in Indonesia, sat around in Singapore, swam with turtles and wrestled with a baby bear in Malaysia, tackled full moon parties, 5 day hikes, and Khao San road in Thailand, lazed at the 4000 islands in Laos, was sad in Cambodia, and ventured to some amazing scenery in Vietnam.

I then spent three life-altering years in China.

On my fourth year, I headed up to Tibet to visit Everest, nestled with Nepal's mountains, meditated in India, blew my mind in Pakistan and explored real Iran.

I got to Europe, hitched hiked my ways to summer camps in Spain, picking grapes in France, drinking beer in Belgium and...you know what people do in Holland.

Finally, after 6 years and 30 countries, I did a 4-day Greyhound bus from Montreal to Vancouver to complete my world circuit.

Then I decided I wanted to do it again!

3 more years

Central AMERICA, North Korea, Mongolia, Russia, all the countries in Europe, the Balkans, the pyramids, southern Africa.

I went to school, received a degree in...you guessed it, International Relations. Then I went to do my masters at the International Space University (ya its a real thing!) I have been working in the space industry developing lunar mission for the past 4 years. Traveling has only increased, last year I went around the world 13 times.

We shall not cease from exploration
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I host epic parties, host travellers, bring people on hikes, educate anyone who has questions, and organize groups, give tips, give advice, anything I can do.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first CS experience was my first day in Pakistan. I crossed the border from India and was surronded by 50 Pakistanis with teal, green, and curious eyes. I jumped in a three wheeled cart and zoomed through the polluted streets of Lahore to be dropped off in the outskirts of town. The area was full of walled mansions. I arrived at my house before my host was there but his mother took me into his mansion, sat me down at the end of a table, and had the servants serve me 7 dishes. She sat quietly next to me while I ate. It was awkard...My hosts boys came from school and they were really cool. I played with them until my first host came. I was in a new country, (the most dangerous country in the world at the time) with a complete stranger, the rest is beautiful history

Teach, Learn, Share

Life is short and I have made it my goal to live it to the absolute maximum. It sometimes takes years for people to realize that they have the power to shape their life instead of letting life shape them. Make goals, have dreams, and when someone says you cant do something, laugh.

Be kind to everyone you meet - It will always come back to you

Trust people - most people in the world are good

Take chances - there is only one way to know the outcome.

Spend money - never let paper become to much of an issue. Money is one of the easiest things to find in the world and they will never buy you the things that count - friends, love, and family. So use money to at least buy you temporary happiness ;)
